Apple Says New Macbook Pro Has Only 16Gb Of Ram To Save Bat

I quickly developed carpal tunnel symptoms after using trackpad gestures to swipe between multiple applications as a part of my workflow at a previous job. After I updated the drivers, the trackpad on my Zenbook isn't far behind my Macbook Air or Pro. OSX utterly lacks anything approaching a decent window manager. If your workflow requires multiple open applications, and you have to use a mac, get bent. Windows 7 has side snapping, Windows 10 has corner snapping and generally builds on 7's window manager. Pretty much every version of linux has similar window snapping *and* "always on top" options which make working in 3-4 different windows at once a breeze.

Crazy thing is back in 2012 all the engineers got a Thinkpad w520. We had 32gb of ram, 10 hr battery and 3 hard hard drives that were easily accessible. Nearly 4-5 years has passed and it still runs better than any of the new machines we get. We get sent new ones to try out. But some of the higher guys won't let them take their w520. We get sent new machines and models and I've tried almost all of them. The only thing faster is the pcie drives. But a lot of that is benchmarks, some users can't tell the difference. For some reason the vt-x or the default image we have on the w520 is amazing as we can run 10+ virtual machines without lag. I can't believe that 4-5 years later and they haven't come out with a better machine.

Let's not consider the fact that they applied the same dumb fuck reasoning to the iMac, which is a fucking desktop, and has no need to be extra-thin. But they made it thinner anyway, leaving less space for components, meaning it's harder to cool and they had a "reason" to make it impossible for users to upgrade it.

Lololol when there were rumors it would have USB-C instead of USB 3, I was like, "oh that's shitty." But I figured I'd get over it. When they announced all 7 ports were replaced by 4 USB-C ports, I said "fuck them." I've been using macs exclusively for the past ~8 years. Apple has had superior UX than Microsoft (minus window management, which Microsoft wins at), and the hardware, though "weaker" was tuned very well with the software/os. But.. to be honest... as much of an asshole as Jobs was, he would have been fucking pissed with how Apple is fucking us over so hard. If someone came to him and said "alright alright. Let's take away the headphone jack and make this phone look exactly like last generation," he would have fired them on the spot.
